Shining Stars Awards Ceremony 2016

The Newham College Shining Stars Awards Ceremony took place on Thursday 30th June 2016, at the College’s East Ham campus. This celebratory occasion, is held every year in recognition of the exceptional achievements that Newham College’s best students accomplish.

We offer a range of high quality and affordable (£6,000 or less) degree courses in the following subjects you can enrol on to start in either February or September:

Centre of Excellence in Fashion and Tailoring

Newham College has established a Centre of Excellence in Fashion and Tailoring to provide new and effective routes to employment.

Newham College Sports Academy

The Newham College Sports Academy is set to combine education with professional sportsmanship in a way that can only lead to unrivalled success. If you are aged between 16-18 and take your sporting talents seriously, in addition to your studies then register your interest to take part.

Free breakfast is made available to all students between 8.15 am – 8.45 am. The menu includes porridge, which can be served with fruit. Toast  is also served as a second option, so it’s great to arrive early if you want to have some food at the beginning of the day.  Breakfast meals are all served in the canteen in addition to the Stratford Campus Café.

Transnational Work Placement Results in Employment for Newham College Student

Newham College Travel & Tourism student, Ali Jeilan, recently completed a transnational placement, which has led to employment. Ali was one of 19 students who spent 2 weeks in Spain doing work experience that was arranged between the College and various employers in the travel and tourism sector.

Newham College National Cricket Champions

The Newham College Cricket team have won the AoC Cricket National finals. This officially makes them the best College Cricket Team in England. This celebratory achievement follows an unbeaten league season and regional victory last month.

24+ Advanced Learning Loans

If you are aged 24 or over and you choose to study at level 3 or 4 you may be eligible for a 24+ Advanced Learning Loan, to cover the cost of any fees associated with your chosen course.

UK Quality Mark for NUC

The Quality Assurance Agency for Higher Education (QAA) has confirmed the quality and standards of teaching and facilities at Newham College University Centre (NUC) following its review in October 2015.

Newham College’s Prince’s Trust Student wins National Award

Newham College’s former Prince’s Trust student, Laine Esperanzate has won a national award for overcoming barriers and developing new skills. The Prince's Trust and Samsung Celebrate Success Awards 2016 honoured the achievements of young people supported by The Trust.
