What is involved?

The Level 2 Technical Certificate is for you if you are 16 plus and want to experience practical application and development of skills to work in the digital technology industry. Learners will explore a wide range of industry areas including systems infrastructure, application development, web development and social media, cyber security, business analysis, telecoms/unified communications. A typical day will consist of theory work , getting hands-on and testing your app on the latest devices provided by Samsung.


What will my career options be?

Students typically progress to our level 3 TecBac Course, Allowing them to gather a deeper understanding in Software Development for industry.

What is the cost?

The Home fee is TBC (Plus TBC Exam Fee). This Course is Free for 16-18 Home Students The information which describes this course was accurate at the time of publication. What do I need?

You will require a good level of English and maths for this course. You must meet the following criteria to be offered a place on full level 2 courses:

  • 5 GCSEs passes at grades D-G including English and Maths or Key Skills in applied communications and applied numeracy at level 1.
  • Overseas equivalence - determined by qualified guidance staff within Admissions
  • NOCN progression Certificate/Diploma at level 1 with the National Basic Skills Test at level 1 or Functional Skills at level 1

    If learners are waiting for exam results or to complete their level 1 course, they must be offered a place that is conditional only upon satisfactory completion of that level 1 course. The place will be confirmed when they can evidence that they have met these criteria.
