The Pearson BTEC Level 3 National Diploma in Children's Play, Learning and. Development (Early Years Educator) consists of core and optional units that provide for a combined total of 750 guided learning hours (GLH) for the completed qualification. Work Experience opportunity As part of the course you will need to complete compulsory work placements in an Early Years setting. The aim of the work placement is to provide learners with opportunities to apply their knowledge and understanding in the workplace. I - Learning Sessions. This is additional time embedded in your programme for independent study. This time is used to work through assignments, complete homework activities and conduct wider reading and research to assist learning. Enrichment Activities Enrichment activities are integrated within the EYS programmes. Such as, sport activities, workshops, outings and debates. There is also the opportunity to request other enrichment activities that you have an interest in.
