What is involved?

The qualification provides learners with the opportunity to practice and be assessed in a secure environment on the installation of wiring systems together with the relevant theory of electrical installation. The learner has the opportunity to utilise the IET On-Site Guide with some of the units, and to also acquire knowledge of electrical science and principles. More specifically, it provides learners with the required underpinning knowledge and related practical skills they will need to progress on to the Level 3 Advanced Diploma in Electrical Installation and to subsequently pursue a career in this occupational area

What will my career options be?

If you complete the Level 2 Diploma in Electrical Installation, you will be eligible for enrolment into the Level 3 Electrical Installation course.

What is the cost?

The Home fee is £2550 (Plus £125 Exam Fee).

What do I need?

You will be required to GCSE A-C Grade in Maths and English, or achieve at least a Level 1 in your initial/diagnostic assessments for Literacy and Numeracy. Progression from Level 1 Engineering or Multi-skill Construction is also a valid route for some learners.
