What is involved?

You will learn:

  • To ensure that your own actions reduce risks to health and safety.
  • To maintain positive working relationships.
  • The ability to carry out routine motor vehicle maintenance. To be able to remove and refit engine units/components.
  • The ability to remove and refit auxiliary electrical units/components.

You will attend classes that will include practical motor vehicle engineering as well as class room knowledge sessions.


What will my career options be?

Successful completion of this course will enable you to progress onto a relevant Level 3 course or to employment.

What is the cost?

This Course is Free for 16-18 Home Students

What do I need?

You will need one of the following qualifications:

  • 5 GCSEs passes at grades D-G including English and Maths at grade D
  • Key Skills in applied communications and applied numeracy at level 1
  • An equivalent international qualification - determined by qualified guidance staff within Admissions You must also hold a level 1 motor vehicle qualification or equivalent, be enthusiastic about motor vehicles and should be willing to work hard, independently and in groups.
