What is involved?

This is an intensive full time course delivered over 2 - 3 weeks. You will attend taught classes and will be required to complete a Workbook which will be assessed. You will be expected to complete work in your own time but staff will be available to support you.

🎓

What will my career options be?

We will help you to apply for jobs within the Care Sector. We work with employers and can fast track you to their vacancies. If you achieve a Level 2 in Literacy and Numeracy and want to work in the NHS we can offer you an additional short course which will prepare you to apply for existing vacancies.

What is the cost?

This course is free for Job Seekers claiming JSA/ESA.

The Home fee is TBC.

In some instances a course may be free - please refer to the What do I Need to Pay screen for more information.

The information which describes this course was accurate at the time of publication. Newham College reserves the right to amend, withdraw or cancel any part of the programmes, locations, facilities and costs at any time.

📦

What do I need?

Some experience of care work either paid, voluntary or family and a genuine desire to work in this area. As this is a Level 2 course you will need a good understanding of English both written and spoken. If you want to eventually work in the NHS you will be required to achieve a Level 2 in a Literacy and Numeracy assessment. An existing qualification in care may be an advantage.
