What is involved?

This course will give you a thorough grounding in the policies, theories and practice of law. You will also undertake some core skills units, to help you study at degree level.

What will my career options be?

Most students progress into Higher Education from this course and go on to study law based subjects at university. The Access to Law programme is a level 3 course and is equivalent to A-levels.
You may also wish to go into employment as that is another option.

You will receive advice and guidance as you progress during the course, as well as help with your UCAS application if required.

What is the cost?

The Home fee TBC
Please refer to the 'What do I Need to Pay' screen for more information.

The information which describes this course was accurate at the time of publication. Newham College reserves the right to amend, withdraw or cancel any part of the programmes, locations, facilities and costs at any time.

What do I need?

If you have an up to date level 2 course (obtained within the last three years) and evidence of level 2 literacy and numeracy then you will be able to take part on the course.

However, as most of our students have been out of education for the last few years, every student is given an intial assessment in literacy and numeracy which will act as evidence for entry. You will take part in these tests before you begin and it is required that you achieve level 2 standards in both of them.

If you do not meet the criteria then the college has a range of alternative programmes open to you.
