This course will give you a thorough grounding in the policies, theories and practice of Psychology and Sociology. You will explore the history of both disciplines and discuss some of the original key theories such as Marx and Freud. You will study aspect of abnormal psychology and personality whilst developing your knowledge of group behaviour from a psychological perspective.
Furthermore, in Sociology you will study the development of culture and religion and identify how this has changed within the UK. You will be introduced to the research and theories relating to social inequalities. Also you will undertake a core programme of study which is designed to ensure you have the fundamental study skills in Numeracy and literacy for Higher Education.
