The YMCA Diploma in Personal Training (Gym-Based Exercise) (QCF) consists of practical, theory with exams and desk based units.
During the course you will study a range of health and fitness units to gain knowledge in a variety of components.
You will have the opportunity to complete 30 hours working with the college sport enrichment team in supporting sport events, weekly sport and exercise enrichment sessions and supporting activities in the fitness suite.
A range of Enrichment activities are incorporated within the programme. Examples of Enrichment activities conducted are sport activities, workshops, outings and debates. There is also the opportunity to request other enrichment activities that you have an interest in.
I - Learning Sessions
This is additional time embedded in your programme for independent study. This time is used to work through assignments, complete homework activities and conduct wider reading and research to assist learning.
Group and one to one tutorials are set up on the programme to further assist you with successfully completing the course. Support tutorials are at flexible times to meet your needs. This could occur during the daytime and evenings.
Personal Learning Plan Sessions
A course tutor will be allocated to you on the programme. Your course tutor will be working with you to set realistic targets that will enable you to achieve. Your targets will be monitored weekly by your tutor and yourself.
Access to HE in Sport Level 3
The Advanced Learner Loan fee is £2882 (Plus £125 Exam Fee).
