The BTEC Level 2 Extended Certificate consists of 360 GLH and the completion of 12 units. During the course you will study a range of units for example Practical Sport, Anatomy and Physiology and Fitness for Sport and Exercise.
You will be regularly assessed, with work marked promptly and feedback given. The unit assessment is internally and externally set and marked through practical observations and theoretical assignments. Examples of assessments methods used on this programme include observations, presentations, reports and posters.
GCSE-Retakes You will be retaking your GCSE Maths and English, if you did not achieve Grade C in any of these subjects, as part of your course to enable you to progress onto Level-3 qualifications.
Work Experience opportunity As part of the programme you will conduct a two week work placement in a Sport or Fitness environment. This will allow you to apply your theoretical knowledge into a practical work setting. Assignments will also be completed in relation to your work placement.
