What is involved?

The Subsidiary/Extended Diploma in Sport and Exercise Science consists of 19 units. During the course you will study a range of health, fitness and sport units to gain knowledge in a variety of components.

You will be regularly assessed, with work marked promptly and feedback given. The unit assessment is internally set and marked through practical observations and theoretical assignments. Examples of assessments methods used on this programme include observations, presentations, reports, posters and essays.

Work Experience opportunity As part of the programme you will conduct a two week work placement in a Sport or Fitness environment. This will allow you to apply your theoretical knowledge into a practical work setting. Assignments will also be completed in relation to your work placement.

5 GCSEs A-C including English, Maths, PE or Science and/or equivalent. Completed BTEC Level 3 Subsidiary Diploma in Sport and Exercise Science.
