What is involved?

The course will focus on:
  • English, Maths and IT
You will have a tutorial programme to give you the best support with your studies You will also participate in enrichment activities at Newham College for your own development and enjoyment You will have an opportunity for work experience On the course you will:
  • work in groups on projects
  • work independently
  • make presentations to the rest of the class

What will my career options be?

When you have successfully completed the ESOL course at Entry 3, you will be able to progress to the vocational courses of your choice at Newham College. Some of our most successful students go on to study Pre-Access, Access or BTEC courses. You can also progress to employment within the vocational sector.

What is the cost?

The course is free for 16-18year olds

What do I need?

There are no specific entry requirements except being aged between 16 and 18 years of age. You will be given an initial assessment at your interview to look at your level of English. This will help us to put you into the right class.
