Centres of Vocational ExcellenceAn educational institute is made a Centre of Vocational Excellence (CoVE) when it is deemed by national education standards to be offering exceptional teaching and learning opportunities. Colleges that are awarded CoVE status are expected to make a significant contribution to the development of education and training courses that directly help to meet the UK's skills needs. Other key objectives of the CoVE scheme are to encourage a positive relationship between employers and colleges, and to support national collaboration between CoVE colleges and other education and training providers.
