- masterclasses led by entrepreneurs and business leaders
- opportunities to work on regional and national business challenges


The Academy at Newham College offers three unique BTEC courses in Enterprise and Entrepreneurship at Levels 1 to 3. You can receive £500 in fi nancial support for your business if you enrol on a Peter Jones Enterprise Academy course.
Enrolled students will receive up to £150 voucher for a business suit.

Peter Jones, star of BBC’s Dragons' Den, has offshoots of The Academy around the country, but Newham College is host to the first PJEA initiative in the capital.
The Academy is very focused on helping students relate to the world of real business and teaches them many of the hands-on techniques and disciplines required to be successful in the work environment. Local companies will provide additional mentoring and leadership, as well as sharing some of their excellent business experience and acumen. This added dimension is a great benefit and gives students a taste of what it’s like to work for a successful, thriving business.

Courses on offer include
• Level 1 in Enterprise
• Level 2 BTEC in Understanding Enterprise and Entrepreneurship
• Level 3 BTEC in Enterprise and Entrepreneurship
• Range of short courses

Courses prepare students for an entrepreneurial career, whether you want to set up your own business or contribute to the continued growth and success of an established company.
It’s also an opportunity for the most promising students to showcase your talents and kick-start a successful business career.

The Academy will be located in new, specialist facilities at the East Ham and Stratford Campuses.
