IT and Learning SupportThe Flex, Multimedia learning centres, NewLearning The Flex Our FLEX/library facilities at East Ham and Stratford provide a full library and periodicals service, computers, software packages, CD-ROMs, language study facilities, Key Skills Centres, and Internet connections. You can book computers for your own use and staff will be happy to assist you. The FLEX is free to all students and is open during the evening. Top of Page Multimedia Learning Centres Our two computer-based learning centres, Learning Waves and Learning.com, represent some of our most ambitious and exciting new developments. Equipped with state-of-the-art multimedia workstations, they can give you the independence of taking part of your course on a PC. Each centre has a welcoming reception area, learning materials library and office, independent learning space and a seminar room. Together these facilities provide a first class service with stimulating surroundings and the very latest software - it is truly a learning environment equipped for the 21st century. Top of Page NewLearning NewLearning hosted by Moodle, a Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) that is used at Newham College of Further Education to support teaching and learning. Staff can deliver their courses, information, assessments to students and use it as a principle location for storing their teaching and learning resources. Achievement and progress can be recorded and all teaching and learning can be managed from this one centralised portal. Top of Page    |
