College Employment Service

Earn as You Learn will support you in accessing temporary paid job opportunities within Newham College and with external employers that fit around your study commitments, contribute to your work experience and develop your transferable skills.

By registering with Earn as You Learn, you will be among a pool of reliable students ready to work. The registration process will include an induction and verification interview - where we will record your availability, your skills, the types of work you are interested in and when you are contactable.

• We will notify you by SMS text of new job assignments that suit your skills and availability
• Full details of job assignments will be available to view online
• You will be required to respond within a restricted time frame in order to accept a job assignment
• Failure to respond will result in a job assignment being offered to another job seeker
• You will only be notified of job assignments if you actively update your availability
• You will be graded against your reliability and performance and offered more work if you prove to be a reliable worker
