Committees

The Corporation is supported by a number of committees which make up an important part of the College’s governance structure.

The committees cover delegated areas of responsibility from Finance & Resources to Curriculum & Quality, and are where formal decisions about the College are made. All committees report to the Corporation.

Audit & Risk Committee

The Audit & Risk Committee is responsible for the oversight of and recommendations concerning the adequacy and effectiveness of the following:

  • Statement of internal control and arrangements for organisational risk management
  • Control and governance processes
  • Securing economy, efficiency and effectiveness (value for money)
  • Annual financial statements
  • The scope and objectives of the internal and external audit service

Curriculum & Quality Committee

The Curriculum & Quality Committee monitors the achievement of strategic objectives in relation to teaching, learning and student engagement encapsulating:

  • Enrolment trends
  • Retention, attendance and achievement targets
  • Curriculum & Quality impact analysis
  • Progression
  • Examination results and outcomes
  • Destinations, including career pathways
  • Growth strategy and targets

Finance & Resources Committee

The Finance & Resources Committee is responsible for the oversight of the effective and efficient use of resources, the solvency of the institution and the Corporation for safeguarding their assets, and recommendations concerning property strategy and estate.

Remuneration Committee

The Remuneration Committee is responsible for the oversight of and recommendations concerning the remuneration, performance, development and employment conditions of senior post holders.

Search Committee

The Search Committee is responsible for the oversight of and recommendations concerning board membership and good governance.

Staff Voice Committee

The Staff Voice Committee raises areas of concern with the Executive and receives a progress update on previous feedback

Student Consultative Forum

The Student Consultative Forum is responsible for raising areas of concern with the Executive and College leadership team and receive a progress update on previous feedback.
