Adult open event

Join us for our open event aimed at adult learners interested in courses starting from January 2024 onwards.

If you:

• Wish to enhance your basic skills in English, maths, and IT.
• Want to start a GCSE in English, maths, or science this September.
• Need to meet the English and maths entry criteria for higher-level courses that begin in September.
• Are keen on improving your English language skills as a speaker of other languages.
• Are interested in exploring the range of vocational courses and apprenticeship programmes starting in 2024.

We have two sessions on the day:

• 9:30 am - 12 pm
• 12:30 pm - 3 pm

If you are looking to enrol in a specific course starting in January, please arrive at either session start time (9.30 am or 12.30 pm). This will provide you with ample time to complete an initial assessment where our dedicated team will determine the appropriate level of study for you at Newham College.

Initial assessments - not exams

Our initial assessments are designed to help us understand your current level of basic skills (English, maths, and IT) and determine if you might benefit from taking a short course in any of these areas at no additional cost before enrolling in a higher-level course in September.
