If you want to retrain, get a new job, or simply improve your career prospects, Newham College has a huge range of courses in many areas.

We offer courses at different times and at different locations across Newham to fit in with your life, so search for a course,  contact us, or visit us to find your perfect course.

Many of our courses are free and if even you do need to pay, you may be able to get financial support.  Some courses may require you to apply for an Advanced Learner Loan, which doesn’t have to be paid back until you’re earning more than £21,000 per year.

Adult courses tend to be offered on a part-time basis and are available during the day, in the evening or through on-line, blended learning.

What happens after I apply?

Admissions Process

  • You can apply online or come into one of our centres and pick up an application form.
  • We will contact you within 5 working days to offer you an interview.
  • At the interview you will be able to find out more about our courses and you might take an English and maths initial assessment.
  • After the interview we will send you an offer letter.
  • If you have an unconditional offer then we will invite you back in to complete your enrolment and pick up your college pass.
  • If you have an conditional offer then we will invite you back in once you have received your results to complete your enrolment and pick up your college pass.
  • If we haven’t offered you a place then our team can provide you with further information, advice and guidance.
