If English is your second language and you want to start learning English, then this course may be right for you. It aims to develop your writing, reading and speaking skills and give you an opportunity to gain skills and qualifications for further study or employment. Learning how to be independent is a key aspect of any adults' life. The course has been designed to guide you through this stage of your life.
What is involved?
In this course you will learn everyday communication skills, to help improve your spoken English, listening, reading and writing. Additionally you will learn to develop the skills needed for independent living in the UK and employment skills. This part-time course will focus on development of your skills in English On the course you will: Work in groups/pairs Work independently You will have 1 hour of tutorial per week You will also participate in enrichment activities at Newham College This course will allow you to develop various skills and attributes in order to achieve nationally recognised qualifications.
You can progress on to entry level 1 courses, as there is an opportunity to gain skills and qualifications for further study or employment.
