This course will give you a thorough grounding in business policies, theories and practices.
You will also undertake a core study programme, which is designed to ensure you have fundamental skills in IT, numeracy and literacy for the purpose of gaining entry into higher education.
Access courses are for anyone who has been out of education for a period of time, or someone who has taken a break from education. So if you are looking to return to college in order to study at a higher level, to gain admission to a university or full-time employment, or because you just have a genuine passion for learning then this could be the course for you.
You must be aged 19 or over in order to enrol for this course and it would be beneficial for you to have an interest in studying Business at university, as Access courses are mainly designed to prepare students for higher education.
You'll be studying for three days a week during the academic year. Successful results from this course can lead you straight to university.
Most students progress into higher education. This course will prepare you for a degree in business management, however it also contains many features of other degrees such as finance and accounts, marketing, HR, Leadership etc.
If you wish to go into empolyment when you complete the course you will be well equipped with many skills such as working knowledge and skills of creating accurate financial records, business plans and marketing strategy which will be very impressive to perspective employers.
The Access to Business Management pathway is a level 3 course and is equivalent to A-levels. You will recieve advice and guidance during the course as well as help with your UCAS application if required. Our learners go onto study at prestigious universities and some have even received scholarships.
