Is the Course for me?
Are you aged over 19? Do you have an interest in studying Information Technology? If you want to go to university and study information at degree level but do not have the right qualifications, this course will enable you to develop the skills and knowledge that are required for Higher Education.
What is involved?
On this course you will develop your knowledge and understanding of information technology such as computer programming, database, Spreadsheets and web design alongside the application of numbers. In addition to this you will develop the skills that are required for success in higher education.
The course is taught in a variety of ways, including practical sessions, assignments and group work. You will be continually assessed throughout the year.
Independent study sessions are run alongside more formal classes and, in your free time, you can use our extensive library, computer and multi-media facilities. You will also be presented with opportunities to join in a wide range of social activities.
You will be able to progress to a HND, Foundation Degree or Honours Degree course at university, with a focus on the subject of Information Technology and computing or a related field.
On completion of your course you will receive a profile of credits that will reflect your suitability for your chosen HND or degree programme.
