Is the Course for me?

This course will help to acquire knowledge and craft skills of electrical installation. It does not require occupational evidence from the workplace, so is suitable for you even if you currently do not work within the electrical Industry (but may wish to do so).

If you want to be a part of a team of learners embarking on the road to a lucrative career as an electrician, this is the course for you.

What is involved?

This Diploma has five mandatory units, which between them cover Health and Safety, Electrical Installation Theory and Technology, Electrical Installation Methods, Procedures and Requirements, Electrical Installation Craft skills and Electrical Science and Principles. Within the qualification the learner will have the opportunity to utilise the IET On-Site Guide, and also be introduced to how regulations (including BS 7671) affect electrical installation. The qualification covers standard circuits as described in the On-Site Guide.

Progression

If you complete the Level 2 Diploma in Electrical Installation, you will be eligible for enrolment into the Level 3 Electrical Installation course.

Course Requirements

You will be required to GCSE A-C Grade in Maths and English, or achieve at least a Level 1 in your initial/diagnostic assessments for Literacy and Numeracy.

Progression from Level 1 Engineering or Multi-skill Construction is also a valid route for some learners.
