This qualification will enable you to progress onto more advanced programmes of study or alternatively could help you gain employment within the Science sector.
During your study programme you will be given the opportunity to retake GCSE English and/or Maths whilst studying a pathway in Science. As part of the study programme, you will conduct a two-week work placement in a Science related environment.
You will gain confidence learning GCSE Combined Science: Trilogy through biology, chemistry and physics with content presented clearly, in a logical teaching order. The course includes study seminars, discussion, presentations and critical thinking.
Your knowledge will be assessed by GCSE examinations towards the end of the academic year.
A minimum of 4 GCSEs or equivalent (Grade 3 or above including English and Maths).
With this qualification, you would generally be expected to progress onto a T-Level in Healthcare Science or BTEC Level 3 Foundation Diploma in Criminal Forensic Investigation.
