T Level Transition courses are one-year technical courses that prepare you with the skills and foundation to take on a T Level Healthcare Science pathway programme.
This qualification has been developed in consultation with employers within the industry to ensure that you will develop the core knowledge and practical skills to give you the best opportunity to be successful when applying for work. The course will offer you a mixture of classroom learning and ‘on-the-job’ experience during an industry placement.
You will spend 80-85% of your time in the classroom and 15-20% on a 30-day high-quality work placement with an employer to give you the knowledge and skills companies look for.
This course includes core and specialist content and will combine theory with hands-on skills required for a Healthcare Science occupational specialism.
As part of your Transition course, you will learn about working in the Healthcare Science sector, application of Chemical Substances and Scientific skills. You will also be able to further develop their English, Maths and Digital skills as part of the course.
A minimum of 4 GCSEs or equivalent (grade 3 or above including English, Maths and Science).
With this qualification, you would generally be expected to progress onto a T Level in Healthcare Science (Level 3) programme.
