Course description

Curriculum units in this course include:

  • Investigate the catering and hospitality industry
  • Food safety in catering
  • Health and safety in catering and hospitality
  • Produce hot and cold desserts and puddings
  • Produce biscuit, cake and sponge products
  • Produce paste products

Entry requirements

There are no formal entry requirements for candidates undertaking this qualification. However previous experience or a Level 1 qualification is beneficial.

Progression

You could progress into employment or onto the following City & Guilds qualifications:

  • Level 3 Patisserie & Confectionery
  • Level 3 Hospitality & Supervision
