This course is for you if you have a passion for food and you love to cook. You will learn the professional skills and knowledge to prepare and cook for a variety of hospitality sectors. You should also have a desire to progress into future employment within the industry.

Course description

This qualification will provide you with a broad introduction to the hospitality and catering industry, equipping you with underpinning knowledge and skills specific to the sector alongside a range of transferable employability skills. You will focus on the basic skills to prepare and cook food using a range of different cooking methods. You will need to purchase a chef’s uniform as well as a set of professional chef's knives.

You will also study English and maths alongside your vocational studies.
