This course is ideal for those looking to enhance their pastry-making abilities. This course aims to equip you with the skills to bake and finish a range of pastry goods through our hands-on programme.

Course description

You will explore different methods of pastry making, looking at shortcrust, sweet shortcrust (pâte sucrée) and choux pastry such as:

  • Shortcrust pastry
  • Sweet shortcrust pastry (pate sucree)
  • Choux pastry
  • Cornish pasties
  • Fruit tart
  • Apple pie
  • Profiteroles & eclairs

Entry requirements

All you need is a passion for learning. You will need to purchase an apron.


After successfully completing this course, you may wish to go onto one of our other evening courses in bread or cake making or you may opt to join one of our Level 1 full time courses.
