If you see yourself as an electrician, this course gives you the foundation you need and covers electrical installation technology and principles, plus practical work. You'll get a broad introduction to most of the materials and techniques used in domestic, commercial and industrial electrical installations in the UK.

Course description

This Diploma has five mandatory units, which between them cover Health and Safety, Electrical Installation Theory and Technology, Electrical Installation Methods, Procedures and Requirements, Electrical Installation Craft skills and Electrical Science and Principles.

Entry requirements

You will need GCSEs in English and maths at grade 4 or above.


Provided you fulfil all of the course requirements, you may be able to progress onto a Level 3 Diploma in Electrical Installation.

This course is free for 16-18 students. The course fee for adults is TBC.
