Are you aged over 19? Do you want to go to university and study at degree level in Business and IT? If you do not have all the necessary qualifications this course will enable you to build up the skills and knowledge, that will enable you to progress to university.
This course will develop your understanding of business studies and planning. It will help you develop a deeper understanding of business. It will give you an insight into the methods and practices of finance in industry, and will extend the practical skills you gained at level 2. You will learn additional techniques of using industry standard software, as well as other hands on skills that will help to prepare you for future employment within the industry you are training for.
The course is taught in a variety of ways, which include practical sessions, assignments and group work. You will be continually assessed throughout the year.
Independent study sessions are run alongside your more formal classes and in your free time, you can use our extensive library, computer and multi-media facilities in addition to joining in a wide range of social activities.

You must be at least 19 years old at the beginning of the course and hold a minimum of level 2 qualifications in both English and Mathematics.
However, if you have already achieved a level 2 qualification in one of these subjects, you will have the option to gain a level 2 qualification in GCSE or Functional Skills English or Maths where applicable.
You will be able to progress to an HND, Foundation Degree or an Honours Degree course in Business and IT related subjects.
On completion of your course, you will receive a profile of credits that will reflect your suitability for your chosen HND or degree course.
