Whether considering a career in cyber security or simply looking to protect yourself online, this course will provide you with a knowledge of the common forms of cybercrime, the motives and tactics used to defraud, and how to protect and maintain cyber security.

Course content

Students will learn about cybercrime and the risks and effects it has on individuals and organisations. They will understand routine protective methods used to maintain cybersecurity including the principles of vulnerability and penetration testing and user access control.
