Principles of Cyber Security Level 2

This course is for you if you are looking to gain a greater understanding or build upon your existing knowledge of Cyber Security issues.

Course content

This course will give you sector awareness of cyber security and will introduce you to the knowledge and understanding of roles and issues relating to Cyber Security.

• Introduction to cyber security
• Understand terminology used in cyber security
• Understand legal and ethical aspects of cyber security
• Understand common threats to cyber security
• Understand methods of maintaining cyber security
• Working with others in cyber security

Qualifications on completion

• Certificate in the Principles of Cyber Security

Entry requirements

There are no formal entry requirements but you will need to complete an initial assessment to assign you to the correct course based on your prior qualifications.

Progression

After successful completion of the course, you could move onto a level 3 course, an apprenticeship or employment.
