This course is for you if you want to extend your knowledge beyond Level 1 in fashion and textiles.

If you have a level 1 qualification or have the necessary level of competency, then this course is for you.

Course content

The course has a heavy emphasis on garment technology and pattern cutting for those who wish to progress eventually into the fashion industry and garment technologists or pattern cutters. There is a small element of design and fashion marketing methods.

You will be expected to build files of work and design sketchbook work through given assignments throughout the course.

Entry requirements

You would preferably have a level 1 qualification in Fashion and at least English proficiency at Level 1.


You may progress to Level 3 Fashion and Tailoring Access or other level 3 fashion qualifications.
