This course is progression for learners who have completed the Level 1 Fashion course at Poplar works or for anyone who has completed a Level 1 Fashion course elsewhere or have equivalent experience.
This course is designed to support learners to develop their skills in garment construction and pattern cutting. You will extend your construction and pattern cutting skills using industrial methods and techniques through a series of demonstrations and practical application.
You need to have English at Level 1 and have learnt sewing skills and construction techniques at a beginners level in order to join the Level 2 course.
You may progress onto a Level 3 Fashion course or employment. Some of the previous learners are now working in production for 'Making it for Change' at the Poplar site.
The course fee is £632 (plus exam fee of £75).
