Studying at Newham College is a great investment in your future. We offer a wide range of fully funded, free* adult courses to help you gain the necessary skills and qualifications to meet your aspirations, made flexible to fit your personal circumstances.
Learners will have to undertake an initial assessment to ascertain their current academic level in order to allocate any additional assistance that may be needed to achieve their chosen course. Assessments usually take place on a weekly basis at the East Ham Campus.
These courses are fully funded for those who live in England, are aged 19+ on 31 August and have permanent lawful residency in the UK/EU for the last three consecutive years at the start of the course. Certain courses or programmes may have other specific eligibility criteria (unemployed and/or economically inactive, academic achievement, etc.) and these will be discussed with learners at assessment. Start dates are approximate where included, but all courses are usually dependent upon the number of enrolments per class.
All courses are subject to availability, eligibility and accessibility needs. You are not guaranteed a place on a course until you have fully enrolled and received your Learning Agreement.
