Pathways to Vocational Studies is a course for learners with special educational needs and disabilities such as behaviour emotional and social difficulties (BESD) Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD), mild learning difficulties (MLD) attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), opposition defiant disorder (ODD) and other mental health conditions who are working at Entry 2 to Level 1 who want to improve their personal social skills and ease transition onto mainstream.

Course description

This is BTEC entry to vocational studies. Learners will be able to explore different vocational sessions to help them choose what they want to progress onto.

The core modules include:

  • English
  • Personal, social and health education (PSHE)
  • Employability
  • Enrichment

An interview with the transition officer will be essential to enrol on this course.


After this course, you could move on to the next program STEPS or go to Level 1 Vocational Courses.
