This sport course supports learners that are interested in a pathway to Sports, Fitness and Leadership. The study programme prepares learners for a range of skills in job roles related to sports coaching, fitness and the leisure sector.

Introduction to Sports, Fitness & Leadership is designed around practical skills and tasks that place an emphasis on learners demonstrating what they can do rather than what they know in theory.
The qualifications give learners the opportunity to acquire and develop generic, transferable and sector-specific skills in order to complete tasks and demonstrate a level of achievement that enables them to progress to further learning.
As part of the programme, you will conduct a one-week work placement in a Sport or Fitness environment. This will allow you to apply your theoretical knowledge to a practical work setting. Assignments will also be completed in relation to your work placement.
You will require a minimum of 4 GCSEs at grade 2, including English and maths or an Entry level 3 qualification in English and maths.
Progression to Intermediate Sport, Fitness and Coaching.
This course is free for students aged 16-18. The course fee for adults (19+) is £362 plus £105 exam fee
