This qualification provides an introductory set of knowledge and skills, relevant to travel and tourism. It’s also for you if you are seeking employment in the travel and tourism sector.
This course will help you to demonstrate your preparedness for employment and help you progress onto a larger qualification.
The qualification is intended to provide you with a broad introduction to the travel and tourism sector, equipping learners with underpinning knowledge and skills specific to the sector alongside a range of transferable employability skills.
It is designed to support progression to further learning and ultimately to work in travel and tourism or other related sectors.
You do not need any prior qualifications or a specific level of attainment to take this qualification.
You can progress to a bigger qualification at Level 2 certificate or diploma in Travel and Tourism or to a Level 2 Apprenticeship in Travel and Tourism in any of the available pathways.
This qualification could also lead to an entry-level role in travel and tourism such as travel agent or reservations assistant.
This course is free for 16-18 year olds.
