Thinking about starting your own business soon? This course will help you gain knowledge and tips, as well as providing you with practical exercises to build a great business.

This is a FREE three-week and two-day intensive business start-up course, packed with information, guidance, tips and advice. This hands-on practical course will equip you with the knowledge and skills necessary to build a great business.

Together we will explore:

·         Your business idea in greater detail

·         How to build a business plan

·         Business status and legislation

·         How to protect your intellectual property

·         How to use market research

·         The many P’s of Marketing

·         The social media Big 5

·         The art of networking

·         Pitching your ideas

·         Insights from guest speakers

·         Tools and resources for your business

This course runs from Monday 30th September 2019 Tuesday 22nd October 2019 to Monday to Friday 9.30am until 3.30pm.

The cost of the course is £350, FREE if you are 19+, unemployed and on benefits, a London resident and earning the London Living Wage or less. If you live in a borough outside of London you must be earning £16,0009.50 or less to get the course for FREE.

We can enrol you anytime up until the start date of the course. In order to enrol you need to come in to fill out an enrolment form along with bringing in a proof of your ID, such as a driving license or passport, proof of address and proof of any benefits or low-income information such as payslips. I was training in computers and Microsoft. Since coming on the course I’ve learnt how to start my business efficiently and I’ve also made new friends. Now that I have completed the course I want to finish setting up my business and do some more training. To anyone wanting to come onto this course do it, you will learn everything you need to, to start your own business.

I am also studying at Newham College doing an English course. By completing this course I gained new information and specific knowledge relevant to starting my own business. I will carry on with my English course as well as perusing my business. To anyone wanting to come onto this course, it is worth it!

Before starting the course I was getting information together to set up my recruitment service. I have found the course very comprehensive and I even got to learn how to set up a business plan! Now that I have completed I want to put what I learnt into practice and I will be presenting my business to organisations.  This course has been very comprehensive and easy to follow.
