Providing opportunities outside of study to enrich your time at College.
Enrichment is an integral part of the student experience at Newham College, offering fun and exciting opportunities for students outside of their academic programme. Enrichment activities provide a great way to relax, build friendships, develop your skills, and enhance your personal development.
The Enrichment Team offers a programme of events and activities on a weekly basis for you to get involved with during your time at the College. Our range of activities include:
- Motivational Monday: Mondays can be the hardest day of the week for most, so we try to motivate you through videos and discussion to tackle the week ahead.
- Sexual Health Matters: Every Tuesday we offer learners the opportunity to come and chat with us about sexual health and safety. The enrichment team are trained to provide information, advice and guidance and we distribute condoms and C-cards.
- Wednesday Enrichment: Every Wednesday between 3pm and 5pm, we offer a varied enrichment programme that delivers insightful and engaging workshops and sessions, covering issues such as Black History Month, LGBTQ+ History Month, Anti-bullying, Mental Health awareness and many more.
- Feel Good Friday: “TGIF!” we hear you say? Well, we want to help you start the weekend with positive vibes with sessions that help students to identify their successes for the week and how to maximise the weekend, ready to come back energised and ready to learn.
If you are a current student and want to learn about our current and upcoming enrichment activities, log onto Evolve and navigate to ‘Enrichment’.
