BOOST Volunteering & Leadership Programme
Volunteering provides the opportunity to gain transferable skills in the sporting sector as well as many other industries. As well as gaining from these experiences, you will also get the opportunity to attend workshops and gain qualifications to help your personal development.

The BOOST volunteering and leadership programme has three levels which you can get involved in. You can be a student volunteer, student leader or student ambassador.
Each role requires different levels of commitment to the programme, Ambassadors are required to volunteer over 100 hours, Leaders 50 hours and Volunteers can give up as much or as little time as possible. As part of the programme you attend accredited course which include sports leadership, first aid, safeguarding and marketing training to name a few. Some qualifications give additional UCAS points.
Opportunities for students can be anything from volunteering at college events to marshalling at the London marathon. All the volunteering opportunities are based around helping you work towards your chosen career.
You will also receive mentoring throughout the year from one of the team to guide and support you on your volunteering journey.
