Learn about web design, programming and digital graphics in this Level 2 six-week intensive programme.

This bootcamp is for you if want to:

  • Develop your knowledge and understanding of computer programming.
  • Develop an understanding of the different types of digital graphics and how they are used.
  • Understand how to use photo editing software to enhance and modify digital photos.
  • Develop your knowledge and understanding of the core areas of website design and development

This programme runs for 6 weeks with a mix of on-campus teaching and independent study.

At the end of this bootcamp, you should be able to move on to other related Level 2 qualifications or progress to learning at a higher level.

Level 2 Award in Computer Programming

You will learn about the basic principles of computer programming to understand how programming works. You will develop text-based programming skills to design and develop your own computer program.

Modules include:

  • Principles of programming
  • Designing a program in response to a client brief
  • Text-based programming
  • Testing, refinement, documentation and review

Level 2 Award in Digital Graphics

Students will develop knowledge and understanding of the core areas of digital graphics:

  • Understand the principles of digital graphics.
  • Plan design ideas for bitmap and vector digital graphics in response to a client brief.
  • Develop, review, and refine bitmap and vector digital graphics based on client feedback.

Level 2 Award in Photo Editing Software

Students will learn how to select and layer photo compositions and develop the skills to enhance photos using colour correction and adjustment techniques. They will also learn how to merge and combine photo elements to create professional digital images.

Level 2 Award in Website Design and Development

You will learn how to design and plan and create a website in response to a client brief. They will test and refine the website against the client brief and review their own performance. Modules include:

  • Website fundamentals
  • Designing website for an audience and purpose
  • Website planning
  • Website development
  • Testing, reviewing, and refining a website for functionality and usability


You must be unemployed and aged 19+ at the start of this course. There is no requirement for learners to have achieved prior qualifications or units prior to undertaking these qualifications.
