Hairdressing student is a finalist in 2021 Concept Hair Learner of the Year competition

Hairdressing and barbering student, Ana Toader has progressed to the Grand Final of the 2021 Concept Hair Learner of the Year competition.

The prestigious Concept Hair Learner of the Year competition gives the next generation of hairdressers and barbers the chance to be recognised for their hard work and skills, and it takes an exceptional amount of creativity and passion to wow the judges and be placed in the Grand Final.

The competition has a slightly different format this year, with participants submitting photographic entries. Photos of Ana’s finished look were entered in the colouring category around the theme, ‘Celebration of Colour’.

The next stage will be to create a new look to be entered in the Grand Final in the same category. As in the previous round, participants must submit photographic entries, with an entry deadline in March.

We are incredibly proud of Ana and would like to wish her the best of luck in the competition. Since joining Newham College in September 2020, all of Ana’s tutors have been very impressed by her dedication, hard work and her excellent track record of attendance. She also has bundles of creativity and is very passionate about her career.

We look forward to supporting her journey to achieve her certificate in City & Guilds Level 3 in Hairdressing and Barbering, and are excited to see where her bright future will lead her!
