What is Digital Futures?

Digital Futures is a project providing digital skills training and employment opportunities to London residents aged 16-24.

This project is funded through the Mayor’s Digital Talent Programme and co-funded with the European Social Fund (ESF)

 

  • The project is led by Newham College with the following partners:
    • Digital Skills Solutions
    • Barking & Dagenham College
    • Waltham Forest College

This exciting project gives London residents a chance to improve their digital skills and to increase their chances of finding employment or to move on to further training.

Who can apply for this course?

To be eligible for the project, participants must aged 16-24, live in London, and be NEET (not in education, employment or training) or be at risk of becoming NEET.

The intensive two-week courses include the following areas within the digital skills sector:

  • Digital Landscaping
  • Cyber Security
  • Using Digital Media to Improve Personal Profiles
  • Website Design
  • Introductions to Coding
  • Principles of Digital Marketing
  • Understanding Analytics
  • Training in various software applications
  • Soft skills; confidence building, presentation skills etc.
