Our students take part in digital work experience with Merlin Entertainment

Our students learned a lot from the industry experts at Merlin Entertainment as part of their digital work experience programme

We may be in lockdown but that didn’t stop our Travel, Tourism and Aviation students from spending an incredible 2 weeks with managers from Merlin Entertainment and the owners of Madame Tussaud’s, London Aquarium, and the London Dungeon. 

Their experience with these standout organisations forms part of their digital work experience, and despite it not being face to face, our students still managed to learn plenty from the industry experts, as well as hear about their experiences, and their ideas for the future within an industry that has faced some of its greatest challenges this year, as a result of COVID.

Using their new-found insights and their own initiatives, our students competed in a Dragon’s Den Challenge to design an Entertainment Programme. Our students truly stepped up to the mark by coming up with some amazing packages which included Health, Safety and COVID measures, as well as adventure tourism development, developing tour operator products and services, and promotional materials.
