Employer Links Awards
During 2016 / 17, employers have offered a plethora of work experience opportunities, guest talks, industry visits and sponsorship of equipment and provision to students at Newham College. These outstanding contributions have supported the success and progression of a great number of students into skilled work.
To celebrate the support offered by employers, Newham College hosted their inaugural Employer Links awards, which was held on the 4th July at their main campus in East Ham.
Odette Carew, Director of Service Industries at Newham College said:
"The Employer Links awards ceremony is about recognising the invaluable partnerships between the College and businesses which, provides students with fantastic preparation for the world of work."
Newham College works with hundreds of employers and those who were nominated represent the most committed to helping develop the employability skills of young people in Newham. Employer links with the College ensure students the best possible start to their career and experience the working environment.

A total of 11 awards were awarded and amongst the winners were C2C, Dermalogica, Barnardos, Newham General Hospital and Café Football, who won the overall Employer of the Year award and Hospitality & Catering Employer of the Year,
