Celebrating apprenticeships during National Apprenticeship Week 2021
Newham College will join colleges across England in celebrating National Apprenticeship Week 2021 between 8-14 February under the theme “Build the Future”, as we encourage everyone to consider how apprenticeships can help individuals to develop the skills and knowledge required for a rewarding career, and employers to build a workforce with future-ready skills.
The 14th annual week-long celebration of apprenticeships will showcase the impact apprenticeships can have on communities, local businesses and regional economies and how they all benefit from the impact of apprenticeships. And while we are anticipating an exciting week of events as standard, things will be slightly different with the pandemic forcing us to move our activities online.
Nationally, the number of apprenticeships available in digital, data and technology roles have increased and grown in new and innovative areas. Throughout National Apprenticeship Week 2021, we’re hoping to hear some motivating stories of how apprentices have helped businesses adapt and build during a difficult year.
Look out for the social media tags #NAW2021 and #BuildTheFuture to get involved and have your say, ask questions and find out more about how apprenticeships can help you – whether you are a potential trainee or an employer looking to increase your workforce or to upskill current employees.
Throughout National Apprenticeship Week, Newham College and Digital Skills Solutions will be sharing success stories, achievements, case studies and live Q&A sessions, as well as details of our services through our websites, social media platforms, mailshots, news and events pages, partnerships and network events.
